Moonrider was co-founded in August 2023 by Anoop Srikantaswamy and Ravi Kulkarni. We partnered with the company in 2024 during its first funding round.
Moonrider develops heavy-duty electric tractors designed to reach price parity with diesel tractors while cutting operating cost. Fuel is the largest running cost of a 75-horsepower diesel tractor, and an electric drivetrain changes that cost for the farmer and for the contractor who rents the machine by the hour.
