Rapido was founded in 2015 by Pavan Guntupalli, Rishikesh SR and Aravind Sanka as theKarrier, an intra-city logistics aggregator. We worked with the company as it pivoted to a bike-taxi marketplace, and led its seed round in 2016.
Rapido is now the largest bike-taxi operator in India and runs in more than 100 cities.
The company follows the pattern we look for: a mode of transport that fits how Indian cities actually move, a software-only model, and founders who kept unit economics ahead of growth.
