Zeno was founded in 2022 by Tesla alumnus Michael Spencer and builds electric motorcycles for East Africa and India. We partnered with the company in 2024 during its initial funding round.
Zeno pairs its vehicles with a battery-as-a-service model: swappable packs that take the battery out of the purchase price and turn energy into a subscription. That addresses the three things that stop a bike-taxi rider from going electric: unreliable power, expensive fuel and the upfront cost.
